BRIE BY MATT

Brie Is my neighbor. She’s a lovely neighbor, and whenever I run into her on the street in Clinton Hill I leave smiling. Sometimes I catch her on her way to Target, other times - well actually she’s usually on her way to Target. I remember one time we picked up pizza on an hour-long walk back from Red Hook to our side of Brooklyn. We were coming from a music video shoot and we had a meandering catch up about life. That’s because Brie is a wonderful person to chat to. She’s kind and interested. I met Brie when I joined Daisy the Great and I remember thinking how stylish she was. And to this day I think when anyone in the band has a wardrobe question all heads turn to Brie. “Do I look good in this?… or this?” Then you either get sweet approval or it’s back to the dressing room. Brie is so organized and hard-working. In other words she’s on top of it! She always has beautifully packed bags that I envy when we load the car up for tour. Sometimes she’s running lines for an upcoming audition in the green room. I get to groove up on stage next to her and she’s the best stage buddy. She’s singing, she’s dancing, and guess what - she can act too!!! I’ve been so blown away by Brie’s acting in the plays she’s been casted in. I love Brie lots! And I am lucky to be her neighbor.
